AMOTEKUN ARRESTS 3 AIYE CULT MEMBERS IN IMEKO AFON




The Amotekun Corps of Ogun State under the able leadership of Brig.Gen Alade Adedigba (Rtd) has arrested 3 members of the aiye cult group in Imeko Afon area of Ogun State

 The operation was carried out by team of 10 operatives on foot patrol around Owode-Afon in accordance with the intelligence gathered. 

The Three Aiye cult members arrested are, namely:

 Asoore Taiwo 'M' 20yrs old.
Oke Taiwo 'M' 25yrs old
Fadebi Sunday 'M' 22yrs old.

They all confessed to be members of Aiye confraternity, and
they were immediately documented and transferred to Afon police station

Before the 7th of July 2027, Information has been gathered that some group of Aiye confraternity will be coming to Owode-Afon in celebration and observing thier day which is 7/7 with their gang. 

After the information came in,it was  turned into Intelligence and they mapped out strategy for the apprehension of the cultists.

That was what brought about the foot patrol around Owode-Afon and in the exact time frame. 

As the team of ten operatives, including a female operative moved,they got to Mosafejo area of Owode-Afon in Imeko-Afon LGA around 2240A. 

Speaking,the team leader said, "As we sighted a gang of four young men walking by the roadside,we noticed that their mood had changed. 

That was when we tried to arrest them, but unfortunately, one of them is at large. 

As we searched them, we saw the T-shape iron Axe, and all of them wore black berets and black wears, which indicated their logo according to the intelligence gathered. 

The first person came from Mowe in Obafemi Owode LGA. 
His name is Oke Taiwo 'M' 25yrs old.
Others are from Owode-Afon, and they are Asoore Taiwo 'M' 20yrs old, and Fadebi Sunday 22yrs old. 

They all confessed to having been members of Aiye Confraternity.  

After immediate documentation, we called the DPO Afon division, and he said, "If we can bring them at that hour, we should bring them."

They were all transferred to Afon police station at about 0050A of the 8th of July 2026.
