The Police Community Relations Committee (P.C.R.C.) of Meiran Police Divisional HQ has held it's 2026 Grand Launching of Calendar, Awards Presentation,Investitures of Patrons and Matrons, with a Theme "Strengthening Community Safety: The Role of Real Estate Agents and Landlords in Local Policing "
The  event  took place at Blue Carnival hotel Old Ota road,Ekoro Area, with a massive  gathering of Security personnel, the Clergies, Community Leaders, and Government Officials.
In his address , the Chairman of the Meiran Division P.C.R.C. Pastor Samuel O.Kotoye, said The police cannot secure our community alone, safety is a collective responsibility. As residents, landlords and stakeholders,we must provide the moral and logistics support needed to enable our police officers function effectively.
When the police are well supported, our environment becomes safer and crime is drastically reduced, security is not the duty of one person,it is the duty of all.
The theme "Strengthening Community safety: The Role of Real Estate Agents and Landlords in Local Policing" is both timely and strategic.
Real estate agents and landlords occupy a critical position in the security architecture of our communities because they determine, to a large extent, who gains access to live and operate within our neighborhoods.
When proper background checks and due diligence are carried out before properties are leased or sold through collaboration with the police, community leaders and the police community relations committee PCRC, the chances of criminals infiltration are greatly reduced.
This proactive approach helps security agencies to detect potential threats early and respond more effectively to emerging security challenges.
He therefore called on all real estate agents, landlords and property owners to partner actively with the police and the PCRC in promoting responsible tenancy, intelligence sharing and neighborhood vigilance.
He  further called on well meaning individuals, philanthropist, captains of industry, school principals, Community development association (CDAs), landlords and religious leaders to join in building a safer and more peaceful Meiran together and make the division a model of community police collaboration across Lagos state and beyond.
Dignitaries present at the historic event were, Archbishop Owoeye Alimosho CAN chairman, CSP Oluwakemi Adegboye, Princess Aileru JP, police officers and Top officers from the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps LNSC.
