KEBBI POLICE NEUTRALISE KIDNAP GANG LEADER, ARREST SUSPECT IN BAGUDO
The Kebbi State Police Command has recorded another operational success against criminal elements following credible information from a member of the public.
Operatives, in collaboration with joint security personnel, arrested Bube Tukur (male, of Yarma Village, Suru LGA, resident of Kasuwar Daji, Bagudo) – a member of a kidnapping gang responsible for the abduction of Alh. Abu Geza of Geza Village, Bagudo LGA.
Investigation revealed that the suspect belongs to a gang of eight members, including Jiji Mujugu, the alleged gang leader.
One locally fabricated pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from the suspect.
The victim, Alh. Abu Geza, was subsequently rescued unharmed.
The suspect led operatives to the gang leader’s hideout, where Jiji Mujugu opened fire and attempted to escape. Operatives returned fire, neutralising him.

The gang had been terrorising communities including Geza, Adawa, Matsinkai, Sharabi, Illela, Suru, Dakin Gari, Bagudo, and surrounding areas. Efforts to arrest other fleeing members are ongoing.
