OYO CP STRENGTHENS COLLABORATION WITH THE MEDIA AS OYO NUJ VISIT

The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola A.Olugbemiga has harped responsible journalism as he  receives members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Chapter, at the Oyo State Police Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, where discussions centered on progressive reportage, responsible journalism, and the growing challenge of misinformation in the society.
During the engagement, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the media and the police in promoting accurate, balanced, and timely dissemination of information to the public. 
The meeting also highlighted the critical role of the media in supporting security efforts through ethical reporting capable of fostering public trust, peace, and social stability.
The Commissioner of Police appreciated the leadership and members of the union for their continued partnership with the Command and reiterated the commitment of the police to maintaining an open and professional relationship with the media in the overall interest of public safety and national development.
