CP BODE OJAJUNI ATTENDS OGUN STATE POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS COMMITTEE (PCRC) MONTHLY MEETING, ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS




In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, on sustained stakeholder engagement and community partnership, the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, with the company of the Deputy commissioner of police operations, DCP Murtala Bolanle, today attended the monthly meeting of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), where he engaged critical stakeholders on strengthening community policing and enhancing security collaboration across Ogun State.
The meeting served as a veritable platform for interaction between the Police and key community stakeholders, focusing on strengthening intelligence sharing, improving public safety coordination, and deepening trust in policing operations across the state.
Deliberations centered on consolidating existing security partnerships and enhancing community-driven approaches to crime prevention and early response mechanisms within local communities.
The PCRC Chairman, Comrade Lawal Abdullahi, commended the Commissioner of Police for his presence at the meeting, noting that it is the first time a serving Commissioner of Police in Ogun State has personally attended the PCRC monthly engagement.
He described the development as a strong demonstration of leadership commitment to community policing and pledged the continued support of the PCRC towards sustaining peace and security across the state.
In his remarks, CP Bode Ojajuni appreciated members of the PCRC and other stakeholders for their consistent collaboration with the Ogun State Police Command through intelligence sharing, advocacy, and community engagement, which have continued to strengthen operational effectiveness.
He reiterated that effective policing thrives on partnership, stressing that sustained engagement with stakeholders remains critical to addressing emerging security threats and ensuring public safety across all communities in Ogun State.
The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to intelligence-led, proactive, and people-oriented policing, assuring that the Ogun State Police Command will continue to deepen stakeholder collaboration in line with national policing reforms aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
