OGUN POLICE ARREST AND ARRAIGN NINE OFFENDERS IN ONGOING “OPERATION NO TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK” IN SANGO-OTA
Operatives of the Sango-Ota Division, Ogun State Police Command, In compliance with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, have sustained the ongoing Operation No Traffic Gridlock in Sango-Ota, leading to the arrest and arraignment of nine offenders for traffic violations and obstruction of public highways.
Operatives were strategically deployed to identified flashpoints notorious for persistent traffic congestion and road indiscipline.
During the coordinated enforcement exercise, several vehicles and tricycles were intercepted for violating extant traffic regulations, while those found obstructing the free flow of traffic were promptly impounded in line with the Command’s zero-tolerance policy.
Those arrested include Rufus Kunle ‘M’, Sanni Ogbewi ‘M’, Aremu Oluwatunmise ‘M’, Kayode Ariyo ‘M’, Wisdom Akpan ‘M’, Yinka Molaolu ‘M’, Olushola Adebowale ‘M’, Ikechukwu Ogah ‘M’, and Nwuda Chukwuka ‘M’.
The suspects have since been formally charged to court, while monitoring and enforcement efforts continue to identify and apprehend other violators undermining public safety and order within the Sango-Ota corridor.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, commends the professionalism and commitment of the operatives and reiterates the Command’s zero tolerance for acts of road obstruction and traffic indiscipline.
He warns that any individual, regardless of status, found deliberately causing traffic gridlock or disobeying lawful directives of traffic officers will be dealt with decisively in accordance with the law.
