POMP,FUN FARE AS OWO DAY CELEBRATION HOLDS IN LAGOS

The annual Owo day celebration which is a gathering of all Owo indigenes in Lagos and it's environs has been held on Christmas Eve in Lagos.

The premium cultural event which underscores it's commitments to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Owo people.
The annual event is an avenue to celebrate culture, tradition, thanksgiving, merriments and networking.
Owo kingdom is one of the oldest ancient kingdom in old Ondo State.
The annual event is hosted by the Sobaloju of Owo kingdom High Chief Dr.Abiodun Ibrahim Adebayo who is a prominent figure of Owo kingdom also doubles as the CEO of Clair View Gardens and Hotel Lasu- Igando Road, Lagos.

He has always been lending his support to the celebration of the iconic culture and traditions of his people 
This year's event was more of a celebration of escaping death by the whiskers of the chief host and also used to mark his birthday celebration.
In a brief chat with journalists, High Chief Dr. Abiodun I. Adebayo said,he can't thank God enough for sparing his life despite undergoing a serious and life threatening health challenge,that it's a miracle that he is still breathing on the surface of the earth, so therefore he is offering a Thanksgiving to his creator.
Speaking further,he urged all Owo indigenes to be united,cherish the values that they share together and also to be their brothers keeper.
He also said they should have a common goal and to also remember where they come from by visiting home and also giving back to the society and their Community,to be involved in community service and development.
On the bandstand to serenade the gathering was a Frontline traditional musician from Owo kingdom,High Chief Segun Bayonle.
The annual event was fun filled with a lot of merriments,wining and dining and held through out the night and lasted to the wee hours of the morning.
