Culture Meets Tradition in Ota: SONA Group Celebrates Diwali with the Olota of Ota
Ota, the heartbeat of Awori Kingdom, witnessed a beautiful moment where culture truly blended with tradition.
The SONA Group of Industries Nigeria, led by its Chairman, Mr. A.K. Marchandani — who also holds the traditional title of Baasoro of Ota Aworiland — paid a special visit to His Majesty, Oba (Prof.) Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, Lanlege Ekun II, the Olota of Ota.
Mr. Marchandani was joined by the Group Managing Director, Mr. Ajai Musaddi, and the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, a proud son of the soil and Aare Fiwajoye of Owode-Ota.
The visit came at a symbolic time — during the Diwali Festival of Lights, one of the most cherished Hindu celebrations, which this year coincided with the Ota Egungun Festival. It was a rare and inspiring meeting point of faith, heritage, and tradition.
Prayers were offered for peace, security, and continued development across Ota and the entire Aworiland. The Baasoro extended warm Diwali greetings and appreciation to the Olota for his royal hospitality.
As a major stakeholder in Ogun State — and particularly in Ota — SONA Group of Industries reaffirmed its commitment to promoting community harmony, cultural respect, and sustainable development.
The Olota commended the SONA Group for being a shining example of cultural integration and corporate responsibility in the Awori Kingdom.
✨ SONA Group remains proud to stand with the sons and daughters of Aworiland — where culture meets progress and heritage shines bright!
